Job Title: Senior Pastor
Personal Bio: Pastor Mark Morgenstern was born in Dayton, Ohio and grew up in Lakewood, Colorado, a western suburb of Denver. He graduated from Dana College in Blair, Nebraska in 1974 with a B.A. Degree in Theatre and Speech. Pastor Mark graduated from Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa in December of 1978 with a Master of Divinity Degree. He was ordained into the ministry on January 28, 1979 at his home congregation, Holy Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lakewood, Colorado. He has served congregations in Hildreth, Nebraska; Pickrell, Nebraska; Earlville, Dyersville and Epworth, IA and Sidney, MT. He also served two years as Associate Director and then Director of Nebraska Lutheran Outdoor Ministries in Ashland, Nebraska. Pastor Mark has served at Atonement since June of 2002. Mark is married to Pastor Maryann Morgenstern who is a chaplain at St. John's Lutheran Ministries in Billings. They have five children and six grandchildren. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, photography, reading and computers.

Job Title:  Parish Associate

Personal Bio: Kathy lived near Tulsa, OK, until moving to Great Falls during elementary school. After graduating from C. M. Russell High School, Kathy moved to Billings and attended Eastern Montana College. She later attained a degree in accounting from MSU-Billings. Kathy retired from the City of Billings with twenty-six years of service and then worked at Sweetheart Bakery as an Accounting supervisor. Kathy joined the staff at Atonement in August 2008 as Parish Associate. An active member of Atonement for 21 years, Kathy is now completing the educational requirements for commissioning as an Associate in Ministry. Kathy's husband, Jim Slehofer, is a Billings native and works as a registered land surveyor.

Job Title:  Office Manager

Personal Bio: Joann was born in Oskalossa, Iowa and grew up in Southern Iowa. After graduating from Oskaloosa High she attended Wm Penn College taking classes in Marketing and Advertising. She moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa and attended Coe College taking classes in Business Administration. After staying home with her children, she re-entered the business world in the position of Office Manager of her husband's CPA offices. After the death of her husband in 2001, she moved in 2003 to Billings to be near her daughter. In October of 2005 she joined the staff and congregation of Atonement.
